We are thrilled to be partnering with Social Bite, acclaimed Edinburgh-based homelessness charity, to bring the much-loved Torchlight Procession back to Hogmanay celebrations.
With £1.50 from each ticket, and £2 from each torch sold going directly to Social Bite,we hope to raise over £50,000 to fund projects tackling the issue of homelessness.
Social Bite’s vision is a society where no one should have to be homeless. They are a charity and a social business providing homes, jobs, food, and support to empower people to transform their own lives.
Social Bite helps people break the cycle of homelessness and create long-term change through innovative housing models, supported employment programmes, and giving out over 180,000 items of free food year-round through their coffee shops and community networks. Their national and global campaigns have been described as a collaborative a movement to end homelessness and their work has been championed by the likes of George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai and the Princess of Wales.
Following the COVID pandemic, and now in this cost of living crisis, more and more vulnerable people across the country are finding themselves at risk of experiencing homelessness, or without the support they need to find and maintain long-term housing, employment or even regular meals.
By supporting Social Bite, you will be helping to provide homes, jobs, food and support to the people who need it most.
