A festive candlelit concert, set in the atmospheric and historic St Giles Cathedral

This year’s Candlelit Concert opens with J.S.Bach’s captivating Lutheran Mass in F BWV 233, perfectly bringing to a close the Reformation’s 500th anniversary year.

The concert will feature the world-renowned, Austrian Rieger organ heard in Handel’s Organ Concerto Op 4 No 2 in B flat played by Peter Backhouse, with the concert concluding in a showpiece finale of Handel’s Dixit Dominus.

Tickets for this event have sold out. Additional tickets may be available from the box office.

Heralding in Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018, witness this dazzling concert featuring an array of young soloists all of whom have trained in Scotland.  St Giles' Cathedral Choir is directed by Michael Harris, with the St Giles' Camerata, leader Angus Ramsay.
