Loony Dook Front of House Staff

The Loony Dook is a landmark event in Edinburgh's Hogmanay.  Loony Dook Staff are responsible for helping set up the event, assisting with the parade registration and form up, the procession and finally the packing up of the event.  As such you must be friendly to all members of the public and be a strong communicator.  You should be friendly, confident, good with people and able to organise large numbers of people.  A love for the outdoors is beneficial for this event.  Loony Dook Staff are the eyes and ears of the event. They patrol their area to make sure it's safe and tidy and that the public are getting to where they're going on time.  There’s no sitting at desks involved in the job so you should be good on your feet, have a confident manner and big voice, and be willing to scramble to action at a moments’ notice.  Please note that this event has an early start on the 1st, so you must be able to make your way to South Queensferry High Street early in the morning on a bank holiday. 

Dates of work: 1st January 2018

Pay is circa £125 depending on hours required for the duration of the event.
