Concert in the Gardens - important information

Important Information:

  • If you haven’t collected your tickets yet, please make sure you pick them up from our box office before 8pm.
  • The Edinburgh’s Hogmanay box office is at 109 George Street, and you can also collect from the Edinburgh’s Christmas box offices at East Princes Street Gardens and St Andrew Square. Get more information on box offices here.
  • Entrance is through the Street Party main gates - via South St David Street, Bank Street or at the west end of Princes Street. Entry to the Concert is then via either the Floral Clock entrance at West Princes Street Gardens or at the west end of Princes Street by St John’s Church.  
  • Your wristband will allow you entry to the Street Party, please have this on and on display for arriving at these points. You will also need your Concert in the Gardens ticket to access to the Concert. Please ensure you have this ready to show to the stewards at the entrances.
  • The accessible entrance is on King's Stable Road.
  • Alcohol cannot be brought into the Concert in the Gardens arena.
  • There are outdoor bars and food concessions selling a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and street food within the arena.
  • The Street Party arena is open from 7pm, and the Concert in the Gardens arena is open from 8pm with the first artist on at 9pm.
  • There is no entry after 10.30pm to either arena, so come early!
  • If you leave the Concert in the Gardens arena then you will not be re-admitted.
  • Please do not bring bags any larger than 40cm x 20cm x 30cm.  
  • Bag searches will be taking place and there will be separate queues for those without bags so, for the quickest entry, we strongly recommend that you do not bring bags.
  • Toilets, including accessible toilets, are available within the arena.
  • Please always follow the direction of staff and stewards.

Plan your travel

There will be road closures across the city centre throughout the day and we recommend you use public transport to get to the event but, if you plan on driving, please plan your journey in advance and leave in plenty of time to get to your event.

Plan your trip home. Edinburgh Trams and Lothian Buses will be running a FREE service from 12.30am throughout the night to take you home if you live in Edinburgh. Check their websites for full information.

For those wanting to get back to central belt locations, Fife, Dundee and Perth, CityLink will have services running through the night.  Tickets need to be booked in advance here.
