What it's all about

Why welcome 2017 with just one firework display when you can have FOUR spectacular displays in one night!

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay welcomes the New Year with hourly fireworks displays from 9pm, counting down to the world- famous Midnight Moment, which lights up the skies above the capital from Edinburgh Castle and Calton Hill.

To celebrate the start of 2017, and to launch the 70th anniversary of Edinburgh’s birth as the world’s leading festival city, we are delighted to reveal an enhanced Midnight Moment to showcase the drama of Edinburgh's historic cityscape to the world with a spectacular laser and light show. The laser and light show from Edinburgh Castle will be part of a unique Midnight Moment to welcome 2017 and year-long celebrations of Edinburgh as a festival city

Countdown fireworks 9pm, 10pm and 11pm followed by the midnight fireworks.
