EDINBURGH’S HOGMANAY 2011/12 PRESS OFFICE

Welcome to the press office at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay. If you have a media request of any sort, please contact us at press@edinburghshogmanay.com and we will do our best to help.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2011/12 takes place from Friday 30 December 2011 to Sunday 1 January 2011.

The full programme of events will be announced early November 2010.

The Press Office can advise on specific areas of the programme, filming, recording, TV and radio broadcasts or help to arrange interviews with visiting performers and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay staff.

How do I get Media Accreditation?

All journalists, photographers and broadcasters must register for Media Accreditation for any events in the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2011/12 Programme.

Please email press@edinburghshogmanay.com to request an accreditation form. Please note that a signed letter from your commissioning editor verifying your status and confirmation of your commission will be required before your application will be considered.

Media Accreditation for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2011/12 closes on Friday 9 December 2011. Media passes will be available for collection from the press office from 11.00am on Thursday 29 December and must be collected prior to 3.00pm on Saturday 31 December.

Where is the Press Office?

Press Office opening hours are:

Thursday 29 December	10.00am – 5.00pm
Friday 30 December	10.00am – 6.00pm
Saturday 31 December	11.00am – 1.00am
Sunday 1 January	11.00am – 5.00pm

The Press Office provides quiet space for filing copy and photographs, TV and radio recording, facilities for live TV and radio broadcasts, interviews, unlimited coffee, daily newspapers and good company all day. We have fast wireless broadband but do not provide computers - please bring your own laptop.

How do I get photographs of events?

We have a library of high resolution Hogmanay images - please contact us for details. A limited selection of high resolution images is available for free download here. Please note the appropriate credits.
